Player Eligibilty

All players must actively attend school or be alumni.

TRBA does NOT allow players to "Play-Up" or "Play-Down."   For Winter Seasons, Players must play in the division based on their school grade as of September. For Summer Sessions, players must play in the division they will be going in to the following school year.   Any player found to be placed in an incorrect division, will be moved to the correct division. If there is not an opening in the correct division, the player will be placed on the waiting list for the correct division or issued a refund.

All High School players must be actively enrolled in High School or an equivalent school program. Eligibility for the HS Division begins upon completion of the 8th grade.  Eligibility continues for the next 4 consecutive calendar years that follow.  Following that 4 year period, players are eligible for the Alumni Division and ineligible for the HS Division.  Further, no players from a HS varsity team are eligible to play in the TRBA HS Division. Notwithstanding any of the above, no player shall be eligible for the Boys High School or Girls Senior Division if they have turned 19 years of age prior to the start of the season.

Special Rule with respect to any High School aged player who subsequently makes his/her Varsity basketball team  - The Board of Directors will make a determination as to whether that player will be eligible to remain and play in TRBA. Each circumstance will be evaluated on a case by case basis. Registration fees will be refunded if it is determined that the player is no longer eligible for TRBA.
